November was a great mixture of tours and on this occasion, returning client Nobu, brought his partner Rachel down to Tasmania to introduce her to fly fishing for trout.

While Nobu, shown above, picked up from last time’s success with some nice stalked wild browns on the dry, the fish made it very hard for Rachel, below.

The toughest time was when, after sighting and stalking the fish, Rachel put a indicated nymph spot on to the best wild brown of the trip,

it came up took the fly beautifully, turned down then bit the fly clean off when Rachel lifted. Definitely not good fish behaviour after Rachel was laying out some really good casts.
