Albert and Simon were backpacking around Tasmania and decided to give fly fishing a go while in Hobart.

Not just wanting to ‘give it a go’ on the well stocked fishery ponds, these guys wanted to have get one or two in the wild on the same day!

Well the day was one of the toughest this year weather wise, but enthusiasm, youth and determination soon solved that! First up on the private fishery both soon broke their duck, then it was down to the wild fish, and wild environment, river.

The area was a very tough call, even well experienced locals usually give this area a wide berth with the fly. But as you can see they had a ball.
