The Starlings have just finished a very successful and entertaining 12 days in Tassie with a number of TGALT members including Red Tag. While the weather and conditions were tough at times, plenty of action, smiles and success. First up with Red Tag was Herne waters which had been flooded out the previous Friday. Four days later it had settled somewhat and a good day was had.
Jo releasing her first at Herne. Taken on Tassie fur fly.
Another (larger one) wild brown to the net.
Steve was into a very good brown (est 4lb+) with Jo heading over to assist.
Unfortunately, this was the last run. The hook ‘popped’ and that was that!.
Ray also in the action. Next day it was on to the backwaters of the lowland rivers.
Steve picked up two in two casts from this backwater on a small wet …
… while Jo picked this one up on a bead-head brown nymph under an indicator.
